I purchased mine a week ago from Backcountry.com on their Cyber Monday sale and was able to use it yesterday and today in Mammoth. I bought the gray one. HEAT this weekend's weather was sunny and warm, so this shell technician was prefect. I wore a top base layer and just the jacket and it was enough to keep me comfortable. When warmed up after long runs, the jacket has zippered vents that run from your triceps for the waist line half. at one point early in the morning, all my friends were complaining about the cold while I was nice and comfortable. outer material that I think honestly that is the outer material. It is thick and heavy, but the jacket is still a shell. the outer material almost reminds me of denim that is beautiful in appearance and atmosphere. some other reviewers have mentioned this almost. size of this jacket runs along. I'm about 5 ' 6 "and S size, this jacket has reached my thighs half. part of the style that didn't bother me too much, but I wish it was a tad shorter so I could wear this in town without looking like a baby lol. I'm sure burton this designed for people taller. POCKETS of this jacket has plenty of functional pockets. It has two pockets on each side of the thorax. one that opens from the top and a side zip closure. has pockets on the front of the jacket as do most of the jackets. with side zipper. the upper Pocket flaps are fake. they work only from side hinge that is more functional. the left hinge has a small plastic snap hook that you could use to attack something. I don't know what, but maybe a wire accessory? This has to be my favorite part of the jacket for multimedia devices. the Pocket is a pocket on the left front of the jacket and is spacious. My wife, who is Chinese herself, said this is a big problem with Chinese-made clothing-hinges are of poor quality. so thumb up for general quality and warmth, but the thumbs down to the hinges. following update email with the seller: the seller responded promptly to my complaint and offered three choices, including the return of their jacket in China. However, it would be at my expense, so instead we accepted a partial refund that we get a new and more robust puts zipper jacket here in the United States. Since many people have noticed that the jacket is generally of good quality, and many have noted that the zippers are flimsy, I feel that this is a good solution. Update 2: as A result of my and other comments on this jacket, the seller assures me that they have now changed the manufacturer of hinges, so that the product will be in the future a better quality. assuming that is true, I've updated my review from 2 to 4 stars, because otherwise the well-executed jacket. I hope they are right.

I bought this jacket for a music festival all day that he expected to stay around the mid 60s and rain ALL DAY. I was fine all day wearing this. the hottest part of the day, this still kept me dry and warm, but not hot. the hyvent has underarm zippers to increase air flow. has a zippered pocket on the arm that has worked very well for my sunglasses. within the left lapel is a pocket with YKK zipper (oh, YKK everywhere) that kept my wallet, cards and sunglasses dry when the rain really started coming down. This jacket also packs in a backpack well enough. rolled up and stuffed in the bottom which it took up very little space on the package in. If you are looking for a light, the quality, the rain jacket, look no further. for now, wear a medium in shirts, but (like most of my outdoor equipment) these great racing. I think this is because this type of outer wear is made to fit even when wearing bulky layers. I bought a small and still had sleeves that were a bit too long. This is easily corrected by nice Velcro, elastic and padding around your wrist. In addition, around the waist is elastic cinch cord some way down. There is more to this pull cord in the hood as well to keep the hood close to the face, which keeps the wind and rain off your ears. There is a bill on the hood that prevented the rain dripping into my eyes. He wore a ball cap with and was comfortable all day. Yes, it runs a bit high, but its featurific. don't get me wrong, this is without Gore-Tex but its great quality.
